The US song show, American Idol is undoubtedly the biggest competition to hit the screens. Into its ninth season, this year’s American Idol promises to be bigger and better than any other year, and already fans have their eyes on their favorites to win the competition.
This week marks a very important elimination, as on the same day of the elimination show, the lines will open for punters to place their bets on the ultimate winner. This week will see 12 contestants left standing – six guys and six girls – with all of them hugely talented in their own right.
Naturally, everyone has their favorites, and now is the time to place those bets to back who you think will be the winner of the show. When betting odds get posted this weekend, it is important to bear one thing in mind – they may not mean much in the long run. Take the case of last year’s winner, Kris Allen, as an example. When the betting odds were first offered last year, Allen had a 60-1 shot of winning the competition. The firm favorite was Adam Lambert, the judges’ and audience’s winner by far. However, it was Allen who finally went on to win the competition – proving that the old adage, ‘never say never,’ also applies the world of online gambling.
