Leading online sports betting group, Sky Bet, has launched a new Facebook application which combines social networking with Premier League Football predictions.
The Football Prediction application is titled “Call of the Nation” and is used as an application for football betting fans on Facebook. The application will give hundreds of fans the opportunity to share videos of themselves predicting the weekend football results.
Sky Bet will be able to upload 300 football fans’ match predictions each week via the Call of the Nation application.
One key Premier League match will be chosen every week and fans of both teams will be captured on video while at the match making predictions about the clash.
Once the football fans’ individual prediction video is uploaded to Facebook they will be able to share their predictions with friends and see what their fellow fans and the opposition are predicting.
Helen Jacob, Sky Bet’s PR Manager, said "Social media is the best way of interacting with our customers, who love to tell us and their mates how they're calling the weekend's big matches. The video element adds an extra dimension and acts as a kind of visual fan forum, allowing fans to find out their mates' views as well as having a laugh at their dodgy on-camera performances!"
Sky Bet will collate all the score-line predictions in order to give the consensus of the nation.
