According to a survey conducted by the MECN research company together with the Swiss legal firm MME Partners on Switzerland’s view on online gambling it was found that Switzerland is headed towards a serious online gambling liberalization without any pressure whatsoever from any external sources.

According to a trading update released by online casino and sportsbook operator, Gaming VC Holdings SA, the company shows a 30 percent year-on-year increase in the average daily revenues for the past three months of 166,000 Euros. 

Germany has been doing its utmost to try and ban online gambling in an attempt to protect its state owned gambling monopolies.  However, this has only resulted in very little difference according to the results of a survey that was released last week. 

The London trading 888 Holding group is set to acquire Wink Bingo for an initial 11.1 million pounds in cash and earn out payments up to a maximum sum of almost 60 million pounds to be paid out according to the performance of the site over the next year. 

Facebook, the popular social networking site, has decided to ban all forms of gambling advertising, including advertisements for online bingo, casinos, poker and sportsbooks from their site.  This is despite the fact that there are applications on facebook through which poker and casino games can still be played for free.
