The Swedish online poker and casino group, Bet24 has applied for and received a license to operate from Gibraltar, essentially achieving European Union accreditation. Not only will its players be assured of a safe and secure gaming environment, but they will also be able to play without paying any taxes on their winnings.

“It’s a really important day for Bet24.com,” said Chris Dahl, the Poker Manager for Bet24.com. “We are one of a small number of poker operators to have been granted a European Union license in Gibraltar. Now all our products are licensed within the European Union. The requirements for obtaining a license are very strict so, of course, we have been looking forward to this day.”

Bet24 is reportedly pleased to have found the Gibraltar solution which will allow the company to operate under the same conditions as Swedish monopolies, “at least as far as taxes are concerned.”
