NYX Interactive AB, the Swedish online casino software provider, has acquired NextGen Gaming (Pty) Limited, the Australian based independent online casino game developer.

The newly merged company is aiming to form a company that develops content-rich online casino software that will combine NextGen Gaming’s large portfolio of casino games with NYX Interactive’s modules of casino software, lottery and bingo across the online, land-based and mobile gaming distribution channels. More than 300 online casino games will immediately be offered to over 40 customers by the combined entity.

The two companies are expecting a very big demand for the most up to date software platform when online gambling is legalized in more jurisdictions and is planning on becoming one of the leading suppliers of casino games and software.

The teams of both NextGen and NYX’s senior executive teams will be combined while the software development will remain in Stockholm, the games development will remain in Sydney and the marketing and administration will remain in London.
