Asian people in general will gamble on everything and lose their salary, their car and even their homes to gambling. What is it that makes them so addicted to gambling..??

I am Uk citizen living in Thailand now. Believe me... they are addicted to gambling. Even my wife who is a Doctor here and her family and friends like to gamble occasionally.

It's all the lower strata of the society who couldn't make it to working class normally indulge in heaving betting. Working class too bet, but not aggressive.

I don't blame them. Most of them have no other 'social outlet' except the men drink cheap whisky sometimes but they work hard for it so good luck to them.

Maybe that is their way of letting the steam out I suppose. I am in Europe and when I am stressed I sometimes place some bet just for the sport.

I think it's a bit ingrained in their culture.
It's not exactly considered a vice, but another recreational activity, like drinking. They didn't have the same perspective as Western people about it until recently.

I agree that Asian people love gambling. I guess its part of their tradition to gamble and had been integral part of their culture for so long ever since they started gambling some thousand years ago. Many of my Asian friends are experts and enthusiasts in gambling.

It's in their tradition to play with cards and so gambling comes naturely to them. But at the same time, many of those countries had not recognised and some are contemplating to ban gambling as a whole game.

that is true in many countries.. I guess working class will stick to national loteries and things like that, not go for real gambling such as poker

the working class of my country mostly sticks to play bingo and bet on horses. There is no specific group that plays lottery, everyone likes it.
