How do you recognise bluffing? 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I usually watch how person behaves. If he suddenly starts raising or make all-in at the start he is probably bluffing. But what to do in this situation? Answer or just let him take small pot?

If it's real poker and your opponents aren't very skilled then it's quite easy to see.
But online it's quite hard to know. Anyway, there are lots of newbies who just "tell" you when start bluffing.

When it is real life poker then I try to look at them for a while and try to find any tells. With online poker I just sit back and bet small and try to find a connection between the way they bet and the actual cards they get in the end.

If you watch one person it's really easy to see when he starts bluffing. But when there are 8 players on one table it becomes really complicated.

And this shows that you really need some talent or skills before going to play on tournaments.

This is a hard one, that's the point if you're good at it, nobody's supposed to know you're bluffing. Online is much harder than in person I would say you have to analyze their playing method, the position they're in is also important and their chip stack.

I am a pretty hard player to read, or so I think...so nobody really knows when I am just bluffing or not, until it is too late. Having a good poker face is one of the most important parts of playing, or so I think anyway!

Recognizing bluffing is really hard at first, you have to be familiar with the persons around you so you just have to take it slowly call it sometimes but you really have to observe it and look for some pattern.

This is the trickiest and most important aspect of the game. You cannot understand whether the opponent is true or just trying to convince opponent to give up the game. The knack can only be learnt after several play.

Bluffing in many ways is also very difficult to read but having the determination to call it one must learn.

I just look carefully at what everyone puts in the pot. If someone bets the pot he usually has a hand. But if the pot is, say, 150 and he bets 500 in it is probably a bluff.

I use the same technique too. I usually look on how they bet on the pot.
