The top Italian based lottery provider, Lottomatica, released its 2008 results to show excellent performance across the board. According to the company, revenues grew by 50% in the final quarter of 2008, with total pre-tax earnings for the year reaching over 750 million Euro.

A growth in Lottomatica’s Italian pool and sportsbetting brands contributed significantly to these good results.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Lottomatica, Lorenzo Pellicioli said about the report: "We are very pleased with our results for 2008. We achieved the guidance provided to the market with significant growth in revenue and margins. We also demonstrated that through the group's global presence in over 50 countries and across all gaming market segments, we are able to generate income, pay dividends and maintain a solid financial structure to support our growth."
