The final table is not far off in the WSOP 2008 Main Event of $10,000 No Limit Hold’em. At the end of Day 5 there were less than 80 contestants left in the fray. Leading the pack was Mark Ketteringham with a chip count of almost 6 million. The remaining nine of the top ten were placed with chip counts between the 3 million and 4 million mark.
The most notable feat in Day 5 was the performance of Tiffany Michelle. She doubled her stack from 1.7 million to 3.4 million and is comfortably placed in the fourth place. The most notable negative feat was the penalty earned by pro Phil Hellmuth for berating Cristian Dragomir. Hellmuth will have to sit out the first orbit on Day 6. Hellmuth is the only previous winner of the Main Event still in the running, but barely so because he has an extremely low on chips.
