World Poker Tour Enterprises (WPT) and FOX Sports Net (FSN) are due to formally announce their tie up any time soon, thus ending the will be or won’t be suspense on WPT’s Season VII. Though the starting date and the exact times are being worked out certain details have been decided on. The series will consist of 26 hour-long episodes, which will be aired during prime time on Sundays.
The series will commence with the Bellagio Cup currently being played in Las Vegas. Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten will be providing the expert poker commentary. The name of the hostess is yet to be announced.
FSN will be the third channel to air WPT since its debut in 2003. The first broadcaster was Travel Channel. Five seasons were aired on Travel Channel till ratings began to drop largely because of the competition created by the success of the show. The sixth season was aired by GSN. When GSN decided not to continue there was uncertainty whether the show would go on.
