The North American stop of the World Poker Tour are currently on at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Ontario. The event has a buy-in of 10,300 Canadian Dollars and 454 players are vying for the prize pool of over 4.4 million Canadian Dollars and a first prize of 1,25 million Canadian Dollars.

37 players were left in the fray at the time of writing. Vivek Rajkumar was in the lead with Matt Matros and James Tremholm following closely. Kathy Liebert in the eighth place is the leading female player. Other big names still in include Gavin Smith, Joe Sebok and Sorel Mizzi. The final Table is set for October 16. Rajkumar is a player to watch. The 22-year-old recently won the Borgata Poker Open and has had eight cashes at the WSOP events in the past two years.

This is the seventh season of the WPT. After the North American Championship WPT moves to Las Vegas for the Festa Al Lago at the Bellagio.
