Ladbrokes Poker Million is Europe’s richest and most prestigious live televised poker tournament. It is especially a godsend for those who cannot or do not want to travel all the way to Vegas for the WSOP.

The seventh season of the tournament will begin in London on July 23. The tournament offers a first prize of $1,000,000, $500,000 as added prize money and a live televised final.

The heats will run from July 23 to July 31. The winners of the 12 televised heats will be joined by four additional semi-finalists for the semi finals and finals that will take place from December 9. This WSOP like break will enable Sky Sports to use the filmed heats for building up momentum to the live televised finals.

As such the heats have a $20,000 buy in. But from February onwards Ladbrokes has been holding low buy in online satellites that allow players to qualify for as low as $1. The winner of Season V was one such qualifier.
