Two of the most popular online tournaments are the Sunday Warm-Up and the Sunday Million, both hosted by PokerStars. Sunday Warm-Up begins at 12:45 ET and usually is a $500,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em event that, as PokerStars says, “promises to start the tournament day with a bang”.

The Sunday Million begins later at 16:30 ET after the players have been warmed up and is $1,000,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em tournament. This week as a part of the PokerStars 2X promotion the prizes for both tournaments were doubled. Hence the Sunday Million offered a whopping $2 Million as a guaranteed prize.

This proved a major attraction because more than 14,000 players entered the Sunday Million and when the pot was counted the booty up for stake was  $2,836,200. The winner was TimDawg888 who took home $235,536 after he, xanja and PokerMurphy1 agreed to share the pot. Parnish took home $137,675 in the Sunday Warm-Up.
