The WSOP $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event began on July 6. There were 6,358 players entered, 2,415 fewer than in 2006. This was the first time since 1992 that main event experienced reduction in participants. 

The WSOP 2006, like every WSOP Main Event, was a $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em event. There were 8,773 entrants to the main tournament. All events were held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was the first time a casino other than Binion's Horseshoe hosted the final table. 

There were 5,619 players to the World Series Of Poker 2005 main event. Each paid $10,000 buy-in. Many entrants won their seat in online poker tournaments. All WSOP events were held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino except the final two days of the Main Event which were held at Binion's Horseshoe Casino.

There were 2,576 entrants to the WSOP 2004 main event. Each poker player paid $10,000 buy-in to join the most famous poker tournament what was the largest tournament ever in a brick and mortar casino at the year 2004. Many players won went to the main event by winning online poker tournaments. 

839 poker players  was in the WSOP 2003 main event. Each paid $10,000 to enter. Tournament was held at Binion's Horseshoe Casino.  It was largest poker tournament ever played in a brick and mortar casino at the time. Many entrants, even the overall winner, won their "tickets" to WSOP in online poker tournaments.

The 2002 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held at Binion's Horseshoe Casino. There were 631 entrants to the main event so 15 more than year before. Each poker player paid $10,000 buy-in.  It was the largest poker tournament (by prize pool) ever played in a brick and mortar casino at the time. 

There were 613 poker players to the WSOP main event. Each paid $10,000 to enter what was in that time the largest poker tournament ever played in a brick and mortar casino at the time. The final battle was between Dewey Tomko and Carlos Mortensen.

There were 512 entrants to the WSOP 2000 main event. Each poker player paid $10,000 to enter the tournament.  Chris'  made a big mistake which might cost him the title. But that mistake turned out to be the way to get a world championship title.

393 players was fighting for a 1999 WSOP title. As usual each competitor paid $10,000 buy-in to enter the  most famous poker tournament.

In 1998 there were 350 players to the main event. Each poker player paid $10,000 to join the tournament. This World Series tournament was the only one with 5 players in the final table - Scotty Nguyen eliminated both en Roberts and Jan Lundberg" in the last hand before final.
