The final hand of World Series of Poker in 1996 was played beetween Huck Seed and Bruce Van Horn. That Year there were 295 entrants to the main event - each paid $10,000 to enter the most famous poker tournament in the world. Preflop Seed was sitting with 9 ♦ i 8 ♦, while van Horn had K ♣ i 8 ♣ so the chances were on the Van Horn side.
Once again flop verified players situation coming with 9 ♥,8 ♥,4 ♣. Those cards gave Seed a two pairs and a one pair with an overcard to Van Horn. When Seed saw the cards, he bet. Van Horn re-raised - maybe he thought that Seed was bluffing. Seed went all-in, and Horn was in the situation with no way out. The turn came with A ♣ - there was a chance for flush - Horn had 12 outs before river. River wasn't lucky for Bruce - brought 3♠, which gave Seed the WSOP title and $1,000,000 in prize money.
